Tashka first appeared at the start of the year featuring on Loudun’s single ‘Gold‘ before taking the spotlight with her own debut release ‘Taken‘.
The Sydney producer, having already worked with Elizabeth Rose and done the hard yards at Ableton Live School, has cemented a place in the scene as one to watch. Her sultry vocals laid over the top of a synth heavy melody is like warm butter sliding down a piece of crunchy toast, and the live elements provide a twist to ‘Taken’ that sets it a part. The title of which draws inspiration from the cult Liam Neeson film of the same name – yes really, is an escape into the electronic pop mind of Tashka and it’s sure to have you mesmerised until the end.
‘Taken’ is the first preview of Tashka’s forthcoming debut EP due for release later this year, and we’re very excited to see what she’s going to do next.
