Last Magpie, aka Craig McNamara, is back with another inspired release on the Hypercolour imprint in the form of the Seperation EP. With the release date set for the 31^st of July, we’ve received exclusive pre-release access to the infectious 9-minute title track.

Craig forms one half of one of the most heralded bass duos in the business, Mak & Pasteman, and rest assure the UK bass influence is rife with ‘Seperation’. The track is a deep, analogue-ridden and almost intergalactic feeling piece, as the deft white noise presence gives the single a real raw techno sound. The track is tailor made for the dark, brooding and smoky Berlin dancefloor, with the melancholic strings combining with the percussion aptly to create a tune that’ll get you really moving.

The cut is an instant classic for me, as the subtle yet intricate layering of bass, percussion and its ability to take you to a place far, far away is top draw.
