With Laneway Festival 2016 a cool seven months away its a bit early to speculate who might be playing the casually cool national jaunt – that is unless you’re Hudson Mohawke and another ambient electronic act who today spilled on air that they may indeed be “hypothetically” playing.

It was current Splendour in the Grass players Purity Ring who were chatting to national indie broadcasters Triple J when they touched on the summer camp feel of the forthcoming Australian festival;

“We’re looking forward to Laneway because we’ve heard that has more of a summer camp feel. Lots of people getting to know each other because you’re traveling together over so many days,”

Before backtracking and adding “That is … if we ever play Laneway, we will be very excited about the vibe that it may have. Hypothetically,” which all but confirms the Canadian duo.
