Remember when we announced that a documentary was being made about Daft Punk by French station Canal+ with rare achieved footage? Well, the feature length special dubbed ‘Daft Punk: Unchained’ is here! and keenly placed online by, I imagine some keen Daft Punk video bootlegger.

Visually it’s awesome showing rare footage of Thomas and Guy’s band playing ‘back in the day’ and footage of their early shows going wild. Expect to see the likes of Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Todd Edwards, Giorgio Moroder and Nile Rodgers Skrillex, Pete Tong, photographer Peter Lindbergh, director Michel Gondry, former manager Pedro Winter all making appearances.

What I enjoyed about this documentary was, although I don’t speak ‘Franglais’, the documentary clearly maps out their two decades and provides a more visual application of their career trajectory!
