Old School Hip Hop Fans Will REALLY Like Hot Chips Latest Mix

With the release of their sixth studio album ‘Why Make Sense?’ British band Hot Chip took to Triple J airwaves for a Mix Up Exclusives with Nina Las Vegas.

Those thinking they’d be pegged with various cuts of electronic inspired tunes would have got it oh so wrong with Joe Goddard throwing down plenty of rugged Hip Hop cuts including bits and pieces from Mos Def, D’Angelo, Beastie Boys, Busta Rhymes, J-Dilla and more.

The mix does travel down the disco path but not after a serious rinsing of vocal tipped rap music which makes us appreciate the groups tastes even more.

Those still wanting a bit more re-in-their-mix can check out our ’10 Unforgettable Hot Chip Remixes’ with various re-rubs from Fred Falke, Four Tet and Erol Alkan.
