Soundclouds looking a little bruised these days post a fallout with Sony and Columbia that saw those two majors taking down wares from some of their more popular artists so it doesn’t help Mixcloud has thrown a sneaky shot this week.

Although the platforms were launched around the same time in 2007-2008 it’s obvious to see the growth of Soundcloud has trumped that of Mixcloud to date.

But with many issues surrounding copyright of late, lots of users have been ultimately frustrated and have considered using Mixcloud as an alternative.

To make things a little easier Mixcloud has announced a Beta feature that allows Soundcloud users to export their mixes directly across to their platform – ouch.

Although you can’t take the plays with you, the idea of having a sound (ha) place to save your mixes without worry of constant takedowns is certainly a strong sales pitch.
