Third times a charm right? That’s what Columbian drug cartels must be thinking after millions of dollars of cocaine arrive in Berlin supermarkets for the second time in two years.
Over the weekend more than $14 million Euros ($21AUD) worth of Cocaine arrived at up to 14 different Aldi stores in Berlin as reported by SHM.
“Apparently there was a logistical mistake somewhere along the line,” said police spokesperson Stefan Redlich who said they were looking into the products final destination.
The haul weighed in at 386 kilograms and trumps a similar incident last year in which 140kg of Cocaine was found hidden in crates and delivered to supermarkets in Berlin.
Either there is some serious corporate espionage going on or cartel logistics have been huffing too much of their own product and looking at a grim end.
In perspective, this just represents a drop in the billion dollar global drug trade in which Australians consumed up to $7 billion alone last year.
