Kölsch Announces Follow Up Album, Previews First Single

Danish producer Kölsch, behind some of the biggest dance hits over the last few years has announced a follow up to his rippling ‘1997’ release.

The new LP ‘1983’ draws on childhood travels across Europe with his family and time spent during summers in the south of France while listening to his walkmen.

Kölsch explains;

“A lot of my early music memories stem from these long travels, as we would listen to all my father’s favorite records on the cassette deck.

“After getting a walkman, I would make up my own soundtrack for travelling, with early electro and hip-hop creeping into my life. My father of course did not like it, and it never graced the official cassette deck of the car, obviously.”

The first single “DerDieDas” availible in a tiny preview below stems from a German show adapted from Sesame Street that spawned his lust for sounds;

“It was this song that made we want to make sounds with different objects, and experiment with early rythms. From this moment on i was engulfed in anything that made a sound.”

Check out the preview below as well as his all-time tracks “Opa” and “LORELEY” before the new album drops June 8th.
