Two police were injured when shutting down a party in the industrial area on McPherson Street, Botany at 1:30am Sunday morning. The party has been estimated to have been attended by approximately 1000 people by police.

Boasting up to 40 DJs and multiple stages, the Channel 707 party was meant to run until 5am and was unbeknown to Police until a security guard who was patrolling the area called it in.

Police were “forced” to use capsicum spray to subdue partygoers resulting in a chunk of patrons being treated for capsicum spray contamination at what looked to be a largely peaceful audience.

Footage below of the rave looks to show a healthy amount of fun being had and a relatively easy amount of understanding between punters and police… ultimately a beat up by the media of course.

Police are investigating whether the party was promoted on social media platforms.
