Watching Soul Train With Michael Jackson Tracks Is The Best Thing Ever

Two things we’re missing, Soul Train and early Michael Jackson but thanks to the internet the two can be easily tapped into together!

Soul Train was first aired in 1971 and was presented as a youth orientated dance program that had such success it featured a whole number of special guests, from Daddy Kane to Boney M and even The Beastie Boys.

The show was split up into two segments, one a ‘Scramble Board’ where dancers were given 60 seconds to unscramble letters of a guest or prominent figure in African American culture and the more widely known ‘Soul Train Line’.

The later featured youths of all backgrounds forming two lines with singles and doubles given the chance to dance their 60 seconds of fame.

Michael Jackson remains to this day the undisputed King of Pop and also featured on the show but more commonly his music was the soundtrack to some serious shape cutting.

Together they form some of the best footage you’ll ever see with enough moves to make you get off your bad thing for a boogie!

Don’t stop till you get enough…

Michael actually appeared in the program in his younger years with his brothers as Jackson 5 and performed “Dancing Machine” as well as busting out the freakin’ robot.
