Swick – Crystal Palace Ep

Melbourne bro Swick is back with a fiery 2-track Ep via TEED’s ‘Nice Age’ Label.

His super cute, four to the floor style has evolved over the past 5 years becoming one of the most unique and polished sounds coming out of Australia. His music has been released through the likes of Dim Mak, Main Course, Enchufada, Top Billin, Sweat It Out and No Brainer as well as Diplo’s ‘Mad Decent’ and Skrillex’s ‘Nest HQ’ imprint.

The Ep’s title track ‘Crystal Palace’ is the most Swick-esque thing I’ve ever heard. It has a similar yet heavier feel to his Tkay and Lewis Cancut collaboration ‘Wishes’.

For me though, it’s all about the B-side ‘Salah’s Groove’. If Aladdin was cutting shapes at 3am in Agrabah you had better believe this one’s on in the club. A dark Arabian nights bangor, cobras and all.

Check out Crystal Palace on soundcloud or buy the whole Ep through Beatport.
