Trust Nicolas Jaar To Turn Soviet Propoganda Into Musical Art

Nicolas Jaar continues to keep pushing the boundaries of electronic sounds outside of his unusual club rhetoric by sharing a recent score for a classic Soviet experimental film.

Dubbed ‘The Color Of Pomegranates’ the avant-garde classic was directed by Sergei Parajanov but finds itself with a buzzing 20-track, 80-minute soundscape thanks to the American musician.

Replacing words with sounds while still retaining original samples has given the film a new life outside of it’s controversial stance when it first hit western cinema’s in 1982.
