Toolroom Miami 2015 Compilation

The ever prolific Toolroom Records is rolling out another premium compilation, brimming with 67 new and exclusive tracks from the world’s finest in house and techno. Due out February 22nd, the Miami 2015 album comes in anticipation of WMC and Ultra Music Festival in March, and rightfully claims its title as “your definitive soundtrack to the Miami music conference.” You can pre-order it here.

This is also Toolroom’s premiere album of 2015, and of course it opens with a pummeling track by none other than label boss, Mark Knight. Produced alongside Argentinian techno champ, Adrian Hour, “Get Down” was made for a massive sound system, and we should expect to hear it reverberating throughout techno sets at Ultra. Clearly a dynamic pair, Knight and Hour also feature together later in the compilation with “Suzee,” another big-room boomer.

The second track is “House Record” from veteran artist and Viva Music head honcho, Steve Lawler. Originally released on Hot Creations this January, it hearkens back to the good old days of playful, spunky house music.

Another standout comes from Italian producers, The Cube Guys (aka Luca Provera and Roberto Intrallazzi). “The Fluxx” is the ultimate dance track, complete with a killer bassline and the perfect infusion of vocals (it’s a true house face-melter, and my personal favorite of the lot).

UK duo Him_Self_Her (aka Leon Baggotts and Claire Spooner) also makes their mark on the album with “Conflict.” A driving techno track, it tingles with energy and builds toward a subtle, smoldering rhythm.

Other house/techno/tech house heavyweights who make appearances include: Basement Jaxx, Booka Shade, Maya Jane Coles, Audion, Dusky, Prok & Fitch, Todd Terry, Mark Fanciulli, Route 94, Caribou, and many more.

All in all, Toolroom has outdone itself again. With over 11 hours of magic, Miami 2015 is the perfect way to gear up for WMC, Ultra, and a new season of impeccable productions. Check out some of the previews on Toolroom’s Soundcloud.
