The internet was set a blaze when RANE introduced their new rotary MP2015 mixer at NAMM that not only looked the goods but boasted hands on development from Ben UFO, Martyn, Dixon and Tim Sweeney among others.
Thankfully footage of the mixer has landed online courtesy of DJ nerds Digital DJ Tips and Planet DJ Inc who have both given the piece of art a thorough rundown and mentioning a stack of their one off features including custom pots rated for “1,000,000 turns” to “dual 24-channel USB sound cards” – phwoar!
Guess the debate might restart over the idea of rotary versus full digital mixers and potentially if rotary might become the preferred choice moving forward considering the Rane is relatively well priced against it’s counterparts.
The mixer looks set to retail at around $2400 USD and land in Australia later next month. Now we’re just hanging out to see Todd Terje, Funkineven or Simon Caldwell really giving this thing a rinsing!
