Aussie Man Arrested For Driving A Motorised Esky

COOL!

A forward thinking yet slightly dumb 26-year-old Para Hills West man in South Australia has purchased a fairly nifty device that we’d welcome at any dance music festival. Hell, someone beat us to it and bought one for Earthcore earlier this year! Introducing the motorised esky. ‘Keeps your body cool while you drive the kids drunk to school’.

NOT COOL.

The bro was giving it a rev in a shopping centre car park and was issued with a warning. In typical ‘no worries mate’ fashion, he took the warning, drove it onto Northcote Drive and was caught again and is now summonsed to appear in court at a later date. The vehicle was impounded with us asking the question, will the coppers have a lock-in drinking session at the station with what’s left in the esky?

The motorised Chilly Bin (As called in native New Zealand) is a novelty import and cannot be legally registered in South Australia and also can’t be driven on roads. Although it’s illegal here, it’s not so much in Brazil (well, it probably is but Po Po be like ‘meh’). Check out these dudes filming a guy riding one with crocks on as an added bonus.

You can purchase one of these devices in America for about $700 Aussie.
