PREMIERE: Until The Ribbon Breaks drop a slick new mixtape

I am very excited to introduce you to Until The Ribbon Breaks, a three piece out of the UK who are writing all sorts of awesome electro tunes right now.

They’ve just signed with Aussie label Dew Process and to celebrate, we’ve got a sweet exclusive mixtape just for you!

Until The Ribbon Breaks have been busy making a name for themselves and capturing the attention of some of the best acts out there at the moment, having toured with the likes of Phantogram and Lorde, and they’re about to head out on tour with London Grammar.

Their latest single features Run The Jewels (who in my opinion, released the best hip hop album of 2014.) It’s this incredibly fresh blend of big beats and thumping synths, a seductive, driving bass and gorgeous, husky melodies. And a sick rap verse, of course. Check it out:

Anyway, let’s get down to business. Here is a brand spanking new, totally fresh 45-minute mixtape, showcasing a massive range of styles and sounds, beats and rhythms, riffs and synths. The mix opening on a piano ballad before breaking into a smooth, sexy, low-key beat. From there it traipses up, down and around a seriously strong mix. There’s a heaving bass, there’s delicate synths, there’s gorgeous crooners and everything in between. You can have a listen below or download the whole thing right here.

Until The Ribbon Breaks will finally release their forthcoming debut album, ‘A Lesson Unlearnt’ next month. I highly recommend you keep an eye out – if these tunes are anything to go by, we’re in for something pretty fantastic.
