One Of Todd Terje’s Favourite Synths Is Being Re-Released

ARP Odyssey is set to be the latest of a handful of vintage synths to see a re-release. Korg is the company behind the revival of this classic, which was originally released by the now-defunct synthmaker ARP. We’ve seen Korg done it before, and we’re pretty sure that this won’t be the last.

The original Odyssey which saw its release in 1972 was a hit and used by artists such as Human League, 9 Inch Nails and even Todd Terje.

“The Odyssey has a keyboard, so it has more limited features, but what it does it does really great. If you’re playing by hand and want to find a bassline that’s inspiring and sounds good immediately, the Odyssey sounds great from almost every setting.”

— Todd Terje, MusicRadar Interview

There were originally three types of Odyssey, Mark I to Mark III, and we are curious the new model will be based on one, or a combination of all.
