Kaytranada blows off EP release for full length album

Be still my beating heart.

The always enigmatic and smooth AF producer Kaytranada (human name Louis Kelvin Celestin) has just upgraded his incoming So Bad EP into a so good FULL ALBUM.

The Montreal local who has this year delighted us with insane remixes and edits (Pharrell, BADBADNOTGOOD and MNEK were all hells tasty) made the announcement over Facebook yesterday, posting this photo with the simple caption – “ALBUM COMING”.

Apart from the myriad sexy edits, we’ve only heard one original release from Kay this year – Leave Me Alone, which dropped in September. Featuring Shay Lia, the smooth and groovy release is an exciting suggestion of the album to follow, clocking up over a million listens on Soundcloud.

Undoubtedly at the encouragement of London-based label XL Recordings, which Kay signed to earlier this year. “It’s one of the labels I always wanted to be on,” Kay told FACT earlier this year. “It’s a good label for people who are sort of lost and are like, ‘Let me see what’s going on.’”

If the upcoming offering is as good as other XL family member albums released this year (cc: FKA Twigs, Jungle and Jamie xx), we’re in for a serious treat.

If you wanna show the man you’re frothing for the album – catch him live at Field Day (!).

Stay tuned for further details fronds…
