Released today in Australia is RL Grimes debut album ‘Void’ and it’s a biggie, even aside from both Boys Noize and Djemba Djemba making cameos.

There haven’t been many trap-beatsy albums that have done it for me personally this year but ‘Void’ opened up the doors of a full-length LP that kept me hooked.

We were privvy to a few early cuts, be it the How To Dress Well feature on “Reminder” or that raw “Kingpin” lick with Big Sean as well as the drippy “Scylla” jam but its the rest that helps connect the dots.

Other big standout tracks are “Core”, “Monsoon”, the drum and bassy “Valhalla” with Djemba Djemba and especially “Danger” with Boys Noize all helping transcend your usual arm-crossing action into the fist pump zone.

The whole thing is streaming now on Youtube and with it, a neon-apocalyptic worldy video so that’s pretty badass. Oh yeah, did we mention it looks like there will be a Flume edit of “Core” on the way, yep… that’s happening.
