RUFUS Lead Australian Independant Record Nominations

Australian indie-dance trio RUFUS who will now call Berlin home for the next six months while recording their follow up album lead the charge for the dance/electronic artists for nominations in the AIR awards with three nods.

They are joined by a stellar group of artists in the ‘Best Indie Dance, Electronica Album’ and ‘Best Indie Dance, Electronica or club Single’ categories alongside Andras Fox, Kilter, Guerre, Ta-Ku, LUCIANBLOMKAMP (who won FBI Radio’s Northern Lights comp) and SAFIA among others.

Chet Faker who placed fifth in the first ever Stoney Roads ‘Producer of the Year’ Awards is the only electronic artist in the biggie – ‘Best Independent Artist’ category shepherded by Courtney Barnett, John Butler Trio, Sia and Violent Soho.
