Production heavyweights Boys Noize and Baauer have come together for “Fire Like This” – a super-fried techno-trap track with a whacky vocal sample. The best bit? Lots of people don’t get it according to Soundcloud and posts on other electronic sites/blogs.

Although we can understand its a tad messy for two guys who spend a lot of time perfecting their wares you have to give it to them for trying something completely new. It transcends a whole range of sounds as it bumps through tight percussive to wobbly as fuck bass underlying that vocal from Anquette’s vintage stomper “Janet Reno”, all in all a pretty fun track!

No doubt this will be an anthem to look out for when the two head out on their ‘Run X’ tour kicking off at the start of November. Free download if it tickles your fancy on the Run X site.

Another collaboration Boys Noize has been working on is Octave Minds, a crossover with Chilly Gonzales that while also verging on experimental is much more toned in its loudness and brashness.
