…it would appear so!
According to French magazine Tsugi, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (thats some hectic double-barrelling)- or one half of Daft Punk is currently recording a solo album on the outskirts of gay Pariś.
Currently in progress in a small town to the west of Paris, the album is rumoured to be chock full of vocal collaborators with French singer and full-time babe Charlotte Gainsbourg first to be confirmed.
Although the two have spent little time apart since the early 90s days-of-daft, Guy-Manuel has previously injected his own robotique style into projects such as Sebastien Tellier’s third studio album ‘Sexuality’ and Kavinsky’s ‘Nightcall’ EP.
Taking a closer look at Tellier’s release with single ‘Look’ (side note: I wish I shot diamonds out of my vagina – see video below), the Stoney desire is that Guy-Manuel’s sound will follow a more laid-back, downbeat style with an emphasis on simple drums and jazz-synths.
Only time will tell if we get lucky on this one.
