Hudson Mohawke Producing Anti-NSA Album For Indie Star

What happens when you put a member of an indie rock band together with a hot property in the world of trap and electronic beats? We’re about to find out!

Like chalk, cheese and some sticky goo in between coming together, Hudson Mohawke is working on new music with both English singer, composer, and visual artist Antony Hegarty (Antony and the Johnsons) and the more familiar Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis.

In a recent interview with NME, Hudson Mohawke detailed “the album I’m producing for Anthony is really cool as fuck. It’s really political, very angry, taking on the NSA (National Security Agency).” while offering a slightly more sheepish response to the work with Yannis spilling that it’s “coming along. I think it’ll be pretty special.”

This only comes a matter of weeks after Foals announced that they won’t perform for 18 months after their recent gig at Bestival who introduced the innovative ‘Amnesty’ drug bin, witth the band most likely working on yet another stellar album.

Hudson Mohawke also has his highly anticipated ‘Chimes’ EP dropping September 30th via Warp Records. Take a listen to the lead track below.
