Fence jumpers at the opening leg of the Listen Out parties in Sydney has resulted in the hospitalisation of a security guard who was tramped during a mass forced entry on the perimeter in the early afternoon.
Footage of the rush has found its way online in which up to 40-50 people charge the fence while security scramble to stop the group. The security guard was said to be on the inside when a single jumper landed on top of him causing internal injuries that required hospitalisation.
This only reinforces the danger punters put in both themselves and others while attempting to gain entry to festivals the ‘wrong’ way.
Outside of this single incident the event was a fantastic day heralded by a cast of local and international talent including Flume, Four Tet, ZHU, Schoolboy Q and many many more. Check out some event photos here!
Listen Out heads to Melbourne (sold out) and Brisbane next weekend.
