Caribou adds another electronic master stroke to his forthcoming album through the remix of ‘Our Love’ under his club friendly alter-ego Daphni. The remix differentiates from the original through its up tempo beat and rolling bass line. While the original is melodic and spacious in its sound, the remix is a heavy dance floor weapon that hints a rhythmic techno groove from the 90s. If the original wasn’t already good enough (which it certainly was), then this will hit the spot.

In an interview with The Fader, Caribou aka Dan Snaith discussed that the title “Our Love” comes from “the love I felt from the people when we were playing at festivals, and the want to make something that feels generous and loving. I wanted to make it a direct transmission from me to the person hearing it, not this kind of reverb-y, miasmic, cloudy-sounding thing, like Swim, which was kind of floating around all the time.”

Caribou’s fourth full length release is due out on Oct 6, although you can grab the Daphni remix now. We also caught up for an interview with Caribou (Dan Snaith) to talk food, playing live, and the new album.
