With the introduction of the Bestival amnesty bin, a whopping number of punters chose not too get high, opting to voluntarily bin their substances at the site entrance. This latest initiative comes only a matter of weeks after the release of a movie revealing what’s really in the drugs being sold to club  and festival goers in a America.

The bin was used as a last minute option for people with drugs at the four day event to mutually give up their substance without running the gauntlet of having the possibility of being charged with a criminal or drug offence.

So how much of the psychedelic stuff was seized? According to the Guardian, over AU$45,000 of drugs (or £25,000 for those of you in the UK). 

Bestival this year played home to Basement Jaxx, Major Lazer, Outkast, Sam Smith, Bonobo, Disclosure, SBTRKT and plenty more.

overall, crime rate was down by 12% compared to 2013 suggesting the British are doing what they do best a little bit more. Drink a shitload of beer and sing the Manchester United theme song! Pretty damn good lads!
