5 TRACKS LOLO BX SURVIVED VILLAGE FAIR TO

The one and the only, Bathurst/Sydney boys, LOLO BX, gave us a bit of backround last week BEFORE Village Fair, and here they are again AFTER! I managed to pick whatever was left of their brains from the bender-weekender to find out what tracks accompanied their adventure!

Village Fair is the loosest weekend on the Bathurst calendar, and being locals they were so happy to be playing main stage this year, “It turned out to be a hell of day/night as usual, with a huge lineup and awesome party crew. There are plenty of stories – including green room gridiron, and some solid breakdance battles starring the Stoney Roads lords themselves at the after party.”

Due to slight memory loss and confidentiality agreements, they’ve summed up the weekend using 5 songs.

1. Kanye West – Heartless

Because Yeezus. We stumbled across this gem on Saturday morning when we were asking ourselves what we were gunna play at Village in a couple hours time (we were really organised). We made a cheeky intro-edit last minute and opened with this tune which was good fun. #trapsirens

2 . Miguel – Do You.. (Cashmere Cat remix)

We finished our set with this and the crowd seemed to take a particular liking to it, although we’re unsure why?.. It seemed fitting for 5.30pm Village Fair day.

3. What So Not – Touched (Slumberjack Edit)

Ya boy LDRU played this one out. It’s probably one of our favourite tunes at the moment. It’s absolutely out of control – which paints a nice image of the VF crowd at this point and for the rest of the night.

4. Lupe Fiasco – Kick Push

I decided to call it a night sometime in the early morning. I called a taxi from the after-party and waited half an hour, it pulled up across the road and a group of people snaked it (thumbs up guys). I pulled out my phone to find it had conveniently died (thumbs up Apple). It was at this moment I decided to walk all the way home. I was packing my Nike Flex Runs and determined to make the journey. My plan was based on thoughts of a mouth watering Maccas stop, where I would replenish and regroup my determination for the long, cold journey home. Finally arriving at Maccas, I hadn’t even finished ordering my banquet when I was informed of a cash register problem meaning they were unable to serve anyone for half an hour (thumbs up Maccas). Things had gone from bad to worse so I decided to just continue on my journey. Upon leaving I ran into my good pal Rhys who randomly handed me a skateboard for the trip. Things were finally looking up! I remember humming this tune as I rolled down the footpath. That was until I hit a ditch and face planted very gracefully on the road (thumbs up Rhysooo). Safe to say I was very glad when I finally made it home an hour later.

5.  ZHU – Faded (Lido remix ft. Mayo)
