THIS SUMMER, One Man, One Woman, One Unfortunate Movie

Zac Efron and Emily Ratajkowski are common household names, however it is not particularly common for them to pop up in conversation over here at Stoney HQ (we swear). In fact the thought never crossed our minds that it would be possible for their names to feature on our website, apart from that one time Emily hassled us asking for her to become our brand ambassador. Yet here we are, bringing to you the mighty unfortunate news that they have been chosen to star in We Are Your Friends, a film that centers on dance music EDM culture.

Here is a brief overview of the apparent plot: A 23-year-old DJ named Cole (Efron) spends his nights trying produce the one hit that will make him blow up in the EDM world. Eventually, an older DJ starts showing him the ropes. To throw a spanner into the works comes a HUGE unexpected plot twist as Efron starts falling in love with Ratajkowski, who happens to be the girlfriend of the older DJ. From there we can only assume the blockbuster will consist of explosions, huge guns, robots and last but not least – a happy ending.

We are sure that it will end up providing a solid combination of comic relief and lots of cleavage, showcasing a calibre up there alongside such classics including Sharknado and Piranha 3DD. Aside from Hollywood taking the mickey, here are five movies about dance music that you should definitely check out:

1. It’s All gone Pete Tong

2. Interstella 5555

3. Berlin Calling

4. Kevin and Perry Go Large

5. Human Traffic
