Just as your head was about to implode with frenzied anticipation, the crown jewel of Australia’s boutique festival circuit (according to me) has dropped the first round of artists for its 2014 line up.

Nestled in the middle of the subtropical rainforest and subalpine woodlands beyond yonder volcano, Subsonic erupts over Barrington Tops over the 5^th, 6^th and 7^th of December, oozing a plethora of electronic, roots and soul.

This year James Holden will be in live format as an initial headliner with Addison Groove following in tow alongside Alexkid, Eli Verveine, Ellen Allien, Factory Floor, Pepperpot and Mike Huckaby.

Last year kicked up its ever ascending bar with producer powerhouse Nile Rogers and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 9 time nominee Chic headlining the festival, along with Christian Martin, Nico Stojan, Le1f and Cosmos Midnigt.

Sydney’s golden child Motorik bringing UK techno producer Jon Convex, as well as sets from your favourite party crews and lavels; Astral People, Spice, S.A.S.H and Mad Racket.
