We all had a chuckle watching poor old Guetta quietly loosing his shit at Tomorrowland this week until it occurred to us he certainly wasn’t the first to don the dinner plates while DJing.

Hop into a time machine (Youtube) and find yourself at the 2000 edition of now defunct festival-thing Love Parade with techno veteran Sven Vath at the one’s and two’s looking like he just gobbled down Europe’s entire inventory of uppers for the decade!

What happens next is a somewhat classic playbook of being off your head while DJing to a massive, pulsing crowd in Berlin. Typical.

Mr Vath instinctively thought ahead donning some wrap arounds that U2’s Bono would be proud to call his own but the sweat party and jaw grind are equivalent to chewing five pieces of hubba bubba in the middle of an Australian summer.

We’d like to point out the must-see moments but the entire thing is pure gold as an equally buckled crowd get down to some high bpm action.
