Premiere: Goldielocks – Moonbeam

Hold onto your Macbooks people, because we’re taking off.

Almost obnoxiously fresh to the Australian electronic circuit, Canberra-native Goldielocks has been impressing us with his ethereal sounds and their invigorating possibilities – and new single Moonbeam is no different.

Landing on earth today and premiering exclusively on Stoney Roads, Moonbeam is the producer’s latest foray into those dark depths of electronic alt-pop. With intentions to create an accessibility and commonality through diverse sampling, all signs point to pop but with enigmatic electronics we just cant place.

Inspired by Flume and Jamie XX, as well as deeper respect of the psychedelic conveyances from producers such as Kevin Parker (of Tame Impala fame), Moonbeam is a far cry from your average electronica – and an even further departure from your ‘Australian Sound’. We couldn’t be happier.

As described by the producer, Moonbeam is ultimately experiential. ‘The idea was to make a pop song that people could click to quickly, and be immediately blasted into outer space.’

Happy travels, friends.
