Lord of the Rings superstar Elijah Wood proved he’s not all about recovering enchanted rings slash saving the world but instead a mean machine behind the one’s and two’s after spinning vinyl at US festival Splash House over the weekend.

He was tucked in somewhere between Chromeo, A-Trak, Moon Boots was a whole mass of Aussie talent ahem – Anna Lunoe, The Aston Shuffle, Cut Copy, Cassian, Chela, Flume, Jagwar Ma, Miami Horror, Stoney Roads #1 Producer of the Year Motez, Thomas Jack, Uberjack’d and Wax Motif.

This isn’t his first jaunt DJing either with Elijah actually certifying things with the ‘Wooden Widsom’ moniker while usually going back to back with good friend Zach Crowie. The pair recently played FantasyCon 2014 at ‘The Complex’ and also played a pre-emmy party back in 2012.

He’s meant to have the skills too with reports that he spun a fusion of “jazz, downtempo and classic house” all seamlessly on proper turntables – nice!

Other celebrities of late bringing their A-game to the dance world include ‘Orange is the new Black’ star Taryn Manning, basketball hero Shaquille o’Neil and Game of Thrones character Kirstian ‘Hodor’ Nairn.
