Prominent BBC essential mix host Pete Tong, behind the renowned Essential Mix series and his cruise set to embark on the high seas in Miami this November has had to be cancelled.
The line up that promised sets from a huge contingent including Eats Everything, Calvin Harris, Kolsch, Jesse Rose, Tensnake, Oliver $ and more have now been left scattered to find replacement gigs so that they can pay the mortgages off on their yachts in Monaco.
The official ticket sales site for the festival posted on their site:
‘Unfortunately, due to circumstances completely out of our control All Gone To Sea will not be setting sail this year.’
Was it ticket sales problems or was the line up too forward thinking for America’s slowly mutating dance music scene? An alternative theory is this an over-saturation of dance music events even for the bustling US ‘EDM’ scene?
Are we heading towards the bubble bursting?
