How Anklepants’s Dickfaced Lyrics About ‘Strollers’ Were Born

Everyone’s favourite techno weirdo Anklepants slid in to give us some whacked out insight before his show at Chinese Laundry tonight. Curious to the inspiration behind his insanely eerie bass single ‘SPEEK YOU LITTLE’ (dat bassline!!!) in which the main lyric is ‘Put you in a stroller’, we asked the Aussie ex-patriot that exact question:

‘What’s the idea behind the lyrics of your track ‘SPEEK YOU LITTLE’?’

AK: “At this time i was living with a flat mate and next door was a friend that was a borderline drunk and or drug addict that used to enter the room where me and my friend made allot of the earlier Anklepants music and many other things…
She would come in completely off her facé … “roasted” .. telling us we should “stop making this pathetic house music crap” (hardly even anything resembling house music at this time) and also “why don’t you make some wicked dnb or breakbeat or something and not this crap …” she then used to pass out so we would start to sample her snoring and talking in her sleep … this is the intro snoring sound in the original version of Speek you little facéhead….

so yeah the story of the main hook “Roasted you know .. im gonna put you in a stroller” simply means what it says …. Your off your face, and do i really have to carry you and your emotions round like a baby based on your selfish rants and drinking problem.

sooooo

yes

the rest of the track has a very different meaning … but for now this is a mystery.”

Catch him at LNDRY tonight and further shows across Australia.
