Another act looks set to play the national Laneway 2015 festival after British trip-hop group FKA Twigs (ahem, who’s album may have leaked recently) confirmed with Herald Sun journalist Mikey Cahill last week they’ll be here at the start of the year.

Chatting with Triple J’s The Doctor yesterday, American rapper Vic Mensa said he too will be heading to Australia at the start of the year for something and was excited after hearing how “super turnt up” Australia was according to recent tourer Danny Brown who played this years Splendour in the Grass.

“Definitely I’ll be in Australia around the top of next year,” adding “I’m super excited for it. I keep hearing that Australia is super turnt up and that I won’t wanna leave. That’s what Danny Brown told me.”

What to expect from the Chicago native live? Well based on a recent ‘antics’ filled set at Lollapaloza we could be seeing “a blow-up sex doll, supersoakers, a fog machine” and “bottles of orange soda” according to Noisey.

His essence of proggy-Rap would fit well with a setting like Laneway, more so inclined by a chat with Triple J just to see what he’s up to that seems too coincidental if anything? He also staggers around with the SAVEMONEY crew that also calls James Blake collaborator Chance The Rapper as a figurehead. His forthcoming album is set to feature among others Mark Ronson and Duke Dumont so one we’ll be hanging out for.
