It’s a wonderful Friday when you start it out with a new favorite track to throw down on repeat. With a voice and flow that sounds very similar to fellow Chicagans Chance The Rapper and Goldlink, Alex Wiley came out of hiding a few months ago after a long term hiatus and released a melodic, subtle reggae infused track Vibrations. The challenge of tackling an already great track is not easy by any means. Producer Honest tackled the challenge and to be quite honest (no pun intended) it’s better than the original. Arizona-native female producer, Honest rework ofVibrations incorporates the best of both worlds. Catchy house beats blended with chill Tropical House vibes under Alex Wiley’s reggae-infused voice will transport you to the beach. It’s always refreshing when a producer creates something that sounds completely different from the original and Honest has masterfully done that.
