5 Tracks Benson (Sweat It Out) Partied To This Weekend

The legend, the man – Benson, has been kind enough to share some music that got him through the weekend during the highs and the lows of his tour supports for equal show stoppers Peking Duk.

His taste making is on-show following the release of his own ‘Hot Mess’ EP on Sweat It Out that we’ve been getting down to since it first surfacing on the web.

Without further adieu

1. Wolf Tide – Spoken Words

This weekend I made the trek to Bathurst for the first time for my “HOT MESS” Tour. I flew from Melbourne to Sydney and was greeted by my friend Nick Lynar (Legend) at the airport. As we embarked on the 3 hour drive out to Bathurst, Nick showed me this song. It’s from his new project WOLF TIDE. Super chill vibes mixed with some big 808 classy beats behind an infectious vocal. We started off slow with this song, but this really was just the calm before the storm. Perfect road trip music.

2. Henry Krinkle – Stay (Justin Martin remix)

As we got closer to our destination I asked Nick if he had heard the new “JUSTIN MARTIN” remix of Henry Krinkles track “STAY”. I showed him on my “iphone5s” which didn’t really do it justice. I told him I was so pissed off, because the track had been on soundcloud for a WHOLE MONTH as a “PREMIERE” before it dropped on Beatport & Itunes last week. Who teases people like that? That’s just cruel.

3. Claude VonStroke – Eye I Eye

After a few drinks we arrived at the venue “ZILLA”. I’ve been opening my sets with this absolute screamer from “CLAUDE VONSTROKE”. This instantly really creates a solid vibe.

4. Benson – Hot Mess (Dom Dolla remix)

Midway through the set I dropped this remix of my new single HOT MESS. Fellow Melbourne man “DOM DOLLA” rubbed his dirty mitts all over this one. Was so stoked when he sent this to me. Keep a close eye on this below average bloke. There was a few vodka soda’s bouncing off the walls when it dropped.

5. Justin Timberlake – Cry me a river

I finished at around 2am. Then I embarked on another journey. Possibly the most important journey of the weekend. I walked around the cold streets of Bathurst trying to find a Kebab shop. I looked for a good 45 mins, I had to head back to base camp though (My Room) as conditions were to cold & dangerous, Hypothermia was starting to set it. It was a sad end to a good night. I went back to my room and played this till I feel asleep.
