Yeezy Shares the stage with dance dons at Made In America Festival

Need another festival massive to add on your calendar? Another long summer of line-ups on line ups; how does one to choose anymore? Made in America Festival has created a package of artists from the worlds best EDM, Indie, and even Hip Hop in only two days. With 2 locations on either side of the country, the Budweiser-run even will blast off simultaneously in both Los Angeles and Philadelphia at the end of August.

At the top of the bill will be polar opposites Kings of Leon and Kanye West. With a vast variety of bookings, MIA is shooting strong as the top billing party in America. Last year included performances by Queen Bey, Phoenix, and Nine Inch Nails (not sure how they warranted a spot). During this year’s running, fans can look forward to a wide range of  performances by Cherub, Holy Ghost, Chromeo, Pharrell Williams, and even cake man Steve Aoki to sign off the end of the summer on Aug 30-31. Depending on which city you choose, artists that will be performing will differ.   What isn’t as well advertised is shockingly all of the artists are actually chosen by one artist: Jay Z.

Jay Z has personally hand picked each and every single artist on the line up, with this roster we definitely dig his taste!

MIA Fest is only 2 days, 40 artists, beer sponsored, Jay-Z sprinkled goodness for a grand total of $168 dollars. Crazy cheap right? For some of you alternative fans the performances of Grimes and Penguin Prison will sure bring an eclectic group of hipsters. Ravers get their fill as well arriving for Tommy Trash and Tiesto. Wannabe rappers will submerge for some sweet hip hop from Danny Brown and J Cole. Made in America Festival is sure to bring a strange crowd, while showing a spark of the next Coachella? I’m sure if any festival is being run by an alcohol sponsor and an ‘A List’ celebrity its bound to explode.

Our main concern will be “Yeezy” and his ability to perform. Does anyone else remember the recent Bonnaroo debacle? (barely performed and yelled at the crowd). Jay picked his outspoken homie to actually rap this time. Lets see if he will actually perform.
