Trust US media to put their foot in it during a recent report exploring the exploding world of ‘EDM’ when discussing the hot topic of drugs and electronic musics at times tumultuous relationship.

It was CBS reporter Christina Hager who was taking a look at the increase in police presence in Boston around clubs following a number of casualties at a local Avicii concert when she stumbled through a few street names for MDMA at 59 seconds, correctly labelling it Molly but also referencing it as ‘EDM’. Although the mainstream culture of dance music in the US seems to largely have a hand in drug use we feel that you can’t really be THAT one dimensional about it all can you?

The positive to the report is the officers involved claim this to be more an educational response rather than a way to lock up kids as well as the mayor commenting that a long term solution is on the way.

Still another lol is the generalisation that all MDMA is made in a bathtub in China and the people of Boston didn’t see fans of Billy Joel munted the night he came to town. Wtf?
