Jeff Mills Cuts Short Set After Bottle Throwing Incident

Techno legend Jeff Mills has cut his set short after only playing for 20 minutes at Belgium’s Dour festival after a bottle was thrown on-stage during his performance.

The news initially surfaced after German techno producer and label owner Chris Liebing posted on his socials that he was excited to have played an extra long set post the walk off although was slightly taken out of context by UK radio personality Dave Clarke who slammed him for being so joyous at the fact the positive nature in which Liebing shared the incident posting on his own Facebook;

“Really not a cool thing to say Chris Liebing, Jeff Mills deserves respect, especially from an artist like yourself, without him your career would not be where it is. Jeff is one of the few artists that gives me good nervous energy if he is on before me, so to hear your smiley delight that his misfortune garnered you some extra time seriously sucks and is such a strange carniverous attitude from the commited vegan that you are.”

Chris has since responded and apologised for the phrasing with gushing praise of Jeff Mills! Storm in a teacup right?

We’re still stumped why people bother throwing bottles on-stage? If you don’t like it, rack off and leave people to enjoy a legend at work.

In other news Jeff announced his new album ‘Chronicles of Possible Worlds’ at the start of the year while video of him DJing in 1980’s appeared online as well as his speech at the first ever Red Bull Music Academy – nice!
