Hype Machine has long been lorded as the go-to for the current run of new beats, be it dance, electronic or a smorgasbord of other genres although their recent ‘Most Blogged Artists of 2014… So Far” revealed quirky postings of some fairly old tracks.

Of the 20 tracks, exactly half were actually released before 2014 with a handful dating back to 2011 including Tycho’s “Hours”, SBTRKT’s “Wildfire” and Todd Terjes disco banger “Inspector Norse”. Even Caribou’s “Odessa”, released in 2010 made the cut, most likely being posted alongside his new one “Can’t Do Without You” – it’s insanely good ps.

It’s not all glass-half-empty news with both Chet Faker (playing Listen Out) and Lorde holding it down for Australiasia while rumoured Laneway Festival attentee BANKS’ delightful cut “Waiting Game” produced by recent Australian tourer SOHN topped the list.

Novel Tours in Victoria actually hinted via their Facebook that two acts on the list were bound downunder for tours with keen fans suggesting Todd Terje, SBTRKT, Caribou and Tycho… all artists we’d be hanging out to see live.
