Heads up DJ Fronds; Pioneer releases new Rekordbox

It’s like all our DJ Christmases have come at once!

At long last, Pioneer has released it’s new set-prep software – a brand spanking new Rekordbox 3.0 – and it seems to be bigger and better than ever.

Already making things significantly smoother in the disc jockey arena, the new Rekordbox beholds even more than handy cue and organisational technology. With an overhaul of the system’s UI, the new software is focused on providing an intuitive DJ program to make mixing and matching that much more efficient.

New features include the ability to tag tracks (with presets or your own makings), the ‘Match’ function, which allows you to link tracks and gives Rekordbox the chance to reccommend tracks based on your linking. Also available is the ‘Related Tracks’ feature which brings to your attention tracks with a key or BPM compatible with the track playing, as well as an in-software crossfader, a multiple playlist viewing platform, new beat jump capabilities and a more simplified and accurate beat grid. Kewl.

It’s also damn perty.

With glowing endorsements from Eats Everything and Kissy Sell Out – 3.0 looks like it’s going to change shit up in the DJ world.

Check out the promo vid and grab it for free over at Rekordbox.
