Green Velvet has left his mark on Pete Tongs revered Essential Mix series after a mystery absence from the programs 21 year history finally amended over the weekend when the veteran thrashed a heaving two hour effort.

Pete seemed to take some of the blame during the intro almost overly describing a truly special producer; “Everything about this guy is unique: his music, his voice, his DJing, and not least, his green hair. He’s been responsible for some of house music’s most unique moments” cuing various hits from the DJs past.

Post a robotic intro by the house don himself were the electronic goods with Claude Vonstrokes new one “EYE I EYE” being played alongside bombs from Floorplan, Popof and Skiver as well as a handful of his own productions in a technically and exciting house mix.
