DJ’s And The Law Go Hand In Hand… Right?

James Parker is currently undergoing a trial for insurance fraud totaling £750 000, yet the last thing he wants to do is miss out on playing a set in Ibiza because of it. Luckily for him the judge in charge of his case has a bit of musical background himself, granting Parker permission to fly to the party isle later this month to perform. Wait, it gets even better. Judge Nicholas Cooke confessed that he also had “been behind the wheels of steel” himself, listing “music of Black America 1959-1973” among his hobbies. How good!

As confirmation of Parker’s involvement in the Ibiza gig, Judge Cooke was presented with a flyer from one of the clubs with his name on it, to which his response was somewhat skeptical, stating that ‘in my experience, the fact a DJ’s name appears on the flyers does not mean a huge amount’. Boom!

In the end Judge Cooke adjourned the case for a three-week trial to start on Janurary 5th next year, giving Parker plenty of time to spread the love the only way he knows how. Who knows, maybe once the trial is over we may be in for a very interesting B2B set from the new found duo. One can dream…
