Bottom100DJs Is The Best Thing On The Internet Today

Besieged DJ Mag Top 100 awards has felt the wrath of the general public and top tier DJs this year with both parties denouncing it as a useless popularity contest with plenty bowing out or taking the piss.

Taking things somewhat too far (not far enough) someone has launched the ‘Bottom100DJs’ web page that looks to flip the contest on its head. Punters are welcome to submit their bottom five DJs with the results hopefully made public around the same time DJ Mag announce their winners (voting closes September 15th).

Sidenote, searching for the announce date give us this gem below from the official USA DJ Mag website, wtf?

“Voting then closes on September 15th. The two month voting period allows news of the poll to trickle out around the world, and allows time for DJs to get the wheels on their campaigns in order to rally their supporters. “

What campaigns are we talking about here? Paid? Ugh.

Frankly we feel that this year, the top 100 DJs might look all too similar to the bottom 100 although on the page is some unfair promotion for some great DJs including faux Grammy nominee Al Walser, Paris Hilton, DJ Pauly D, Canadian crack smoking mayor Rob Ford, DJ Baby Chino and even that guy from Zoolander.

So be sure to get your bottom DJ votes in or better yet, vote in the first ever Stoney Roads AUS/NZ dance music awards and win gear from Pioneer DJ and Sol Republic.
