Ever since “Rolling Stone,” right through until their “Drunk in Love” remix, The Weeknd can do NOTHING wrong! I first heard The Weeknd playing in the background in London in 2011, at a friend’s apartment while we watched subtitled Star Wars on mute, in all sorts of states until the wee hours of the morning. As bias as I am towards them,”Often” didn’t create the biggest hype on my richter scale, I’ve always felt something was missing… something Free n Losh.

Coming fresh off their first all-original release, “Lost,” the Toronto duo Free n Losh are right back at it with their own take on The Weeknd’s “Often”. Like aerating whipped cream until soft peaks form, Fresh n Losh gives “Often” a certain much needed fluffy “lightness.” This brilliantly composed jazz-infused, and xylophone heavy edit, hits the dangerous label of my vibe-richter scale at right about 1.52 minutes.
