Tyler The Creator Quits Odd Future To Kickstart Film Career

All it took was an interview with old time interviewer Larry King for Tyler The Creator to decide he was “pretty bored” with rap and conclude shortly after that he doesn’t want to be type cast and to quit ODD FUTURE on Twitter.

In the feature length interview freely available to watch below, Tyler reveals his plans (or desires) to conquer the film industry and have his face next to the likes of Tarantino. He talks about how lucky he is to have rapped and through that skill fulfilled his sexual desires as well as his favourite cities to play that included both Sydney and Melbourne!

On the subject of quitting long time rap crew Odd Future, Tyler opened up on his perception that sticking to the one profession “puts you in a box”, detailing that he doesn’t want to be categorised in the same vein as big rap dudes like Jay Z, Kanye and predecessor before them. Let’s face it, Odd Future really isn’t a collective anymore but three artists who have prevailed as solo artists – Tyler, Frank Ocean and Earl.
