Sebastien Tellier Readies Fifth, Weirder Album ‘L’aventura’

The father of French electronic pop music and ex-Eurovision contender Sebastien Tellier will release a fifth, weirder album ‘L’aventura’ July 11th through Warner locally.

Just in time for the football world cup comes his attempt to marry “complex chords and complex melodies.” and Brazilian undertones with the album being recorded across various continents with a good portion at the Cia dos Tecnicos studio in Rio de Janeiro.

Furthering his plain weirdness Tellier explains;

“My job as an artist and singer is to run away from reality. You cannot change the present or the future, so if you want to change reality, change the past.”

A first taste comes in the form of “L’adulte” – one many songs sung in French across the ten-track release and quite possibly another piece of the puzzle when it comes to figuring out the enigma that is Sebastian Tellier who’s last release back in 2012 ‘My God Is Blue’ left us scratching our heads.

Do we like it? Definitely!
