Porter Robinson delivered a genre bending, internationally spread and fluid Essential Mix for BBC’s Radio 1 show over the weekend ahead of the release of his anticipated debut album ‘Worlds’ due out August 12th through EMI locally.

The expansive two hour jaunt covered a stack of heavy hitters from recognised names Daft Punk, Mat Zo, Chrome Sparks, Proxy, Claude VonStroke and more but also shone the light on the blog side of dance music with cuts from Point Point, Slow Magic, Ricky Eat Acid and DJ SoySauce among others.

Certainly the best bit of the decently fun Essential Mix was the Australian showing with more than a handful of popular locals making the cut, most certainly from the Future Classic stable with Flume, Touch Sensitive, Wave Racer and Panama all enjoying their moments.

For the Porter fans there is plenty of bite with his originals “Sad Machine” and “Lion Hearted” feat Urban Cone both getting plays, along with remixes but nothing else from the collab heavy tracklisting we’ve already been privvy to.

At the least we’re still trying to figure out if this is a legit album leak or not.

Update: people are thinking the ID or the second mention of “Sad Machine” in the tracklisting is actually a track called “Flicker” – here’s hoping.
