Listen To New Rustie Original ‘Raptor’, Album Details

Thanks to an Annie Mac premiere we’ve got the first rub of new Rustie for our patient ears in the form of “Raptor” a jumpy three and a half minute plus slice of electronica post the surprising reveal last week.

To newcomers it might seem a little underwhelming considering the similar kinds of music surfacing on Soundcloud but to Rustie fans its clever in-trepidation of pushing boundaries in what is considered normal musical wares in 2014 – you’d half expect “Raptor” to be a weird intro/outro to an album. It pitches, squeaks and sounds akin to an Animal Collective jumble of sounds but something we can fully dive into!

What we’ve also got is details on the album release with ‘Green Language’ (a possible hat tip to the stoners?) said to be due out in August sometime on Rusties home label Warp of course.

Brace yourself, ‘Raptor’ bootlegs are coming…

Update: tracklisting, music video for “Raptor” and confirmation that August 25th will see the release of Rusties second album ‘Green Language’ through Warp Records
